Gold Star families honor and remember

The Third Annual Gold Star Family Evening was recently held at the Founders Inn. Honor and Remember Virginia Chapter Director Brenda Ike, along with founder and Executive Director George Lutz, presented personalized Honor and Remember Flags to five Gold Star families who had lost a loved one in military service. Over 100 Gold Star families were in attendance. WNIS's Tony Macrini was the Master of Ceremonies and Stephanie Quayle provided the musical entertainment. Dignitaries included U.S. Representative Scott Rigell, Virginia Delegate John Cosgrove, Chesapeake Mayor Alan Krasnoff, Councilwoman Suzy Kelly and Councilman Robert Ike.
